Capella's Number One Charlatan, Diane Stottlemyer, Shows Up Again!
This time, one of her so-called alma maters, the esteemed (NOT!) Northcentral University - you know, the "school" that was started in a garage, has no classes, and no professors (only "mentors") - has just added Stottlemyer to their list. Even more hilarious is Northcentral's blurb about their "mentors":
"NCU's Faculty Mentors are trained in distance learning methods and support active self-learning for each Learner by guiding and stimulating the learning process in one-on-one interaction. Our Faculty Mentors recognize your individual learning style and needs, encourage one-on-one contact, and emphasize the relevance of the course material and learning outcomes to your personal career situation.
Our Faculty Mentors are drawn from business and industry, education and the healthcare professions, and from the academic community. Each is selected for his/her professional expertise, real-world experience, and academic background. Each Faculty Mentor has expressed interest in promoting active self-learning and demonstrated ability to communicate knowledge and experience to distance Learners."
Just for fun, we thought we would re-write Northcentral's blurb to reflect their latest "mentor", charlatan Diane Stottlemyer:
"NCU's Faculty Mentors are not trained in competent learning methods, of any kind, and hinder active self-learning for each Learner by abusing and ignoring the learning process in all types of interactions. Our Faculty Mentors recognize that your individual learning style and needs are to be ignored, discourage one-on-one contact, and emphasize the irrelevance of the course material and learning outcomes to your personal career situation.
Our Faculty Mentors are drawn from diploma mills like Lacrosse University. Each is selected for his/her professional incompetence, real-world experience as defendants in lawsuits filed in Federal Courts, and academic backgrounds as bigots who harass and discriminate against students. Each Faculty Mentor has expressed interest in active self-promotion and demonstrated inability to communicate knowledge and their lack-of-experience to distance Learners. (Apparently, Northcentral University has adopted the Capella-speak term for students.)"
The prevalence of for-profit diploma mills, whether or not they are "accredited", (such as Capella and Northcentral) on the Internet, have spawned a new era of educational incompetence and malpractice. Here's a sample about what others think of Diane Stottlemyer's latest alma mater and employer:
