Capella Continues to Give Preference
to Lender
A full week after NY Times Breaks Story about Scandal!
(Last Updated April 22, 2007)
That's right, Capella University ignores all sense of decency and
ethical behavior in that even now (April 22, 2007), they continue
to place Student Loan Xpress, the lender involved in the kickback
scandal - the one in which Capella's Financial Aid Director, Timothy
Lehmann apparently accepted money in exchange for special favors
- INCLUDING the placement of Student Loan Xpress at the TOP of Capella's
"recommended lenders lists." This story first appeared
in an article by the New
York Times (April 14, 2007).
As Timothy Lehmann was placed on paid leave last week, for his
involvement in this matter, it is extremely disturbing, but not
surprising, that Capella continues to leave Student Loan Xpress
at the TOP of some of their lists! Here's the proof:
Capella's "Recommended Grad PLUS Lenders"
Note placement of Student Loan Xpress! Right at the very top of
the list!

Capella's "Recommended Consolidation Lenders"
Note placement of Student Loan Xpress! Again, right at the very
top of the list!
